Tri-ang Australian Sets
R4D Set
The
R4D dates from early '62 when Moldex were converting to Super 4 track and
TransAustralia lettering. Moldex obviously had a large stock of series 3 set
boxes left over in '62, as most of the early Moldex sets with Super 4 track
come with 16 small radius curves rather than the normal 8 double curves. This
one has a typed label stuck over the R3DA label on the liner and the box end,
has 16x Super 4 curves and has Triang Railways coaches (with grey roofs),
instead of TransAustralia ones.
